"I understand what it is like to go through this process by virtue of living through my own parents' divorce. That, more than anything, made me conscious that representing clients requires not simply a mastery of the law, but the ability to not only hear but really listen. I strive to blend my knowledge of the law with superior communication skills to achieve the best possible results for my clients."

Jacqueline Stephens Breisch started her legal career in 2010 and joined Schiller, DuCanto & Fleck as an Associate in 2014. She has focused her practice solely in the field of family law. A skilled negotiator, Jacqueline uses her considerable litigation experience when settlement is not in her clients’ best interests.

Jacqueline understands that as social norms continue to change and family dynamics become increasingly complex, so does the divorce process and the aftermath. She works with her clients to develop strategies and solutions that will benefit them long after their divorce is finalized. Jacqueline is passionate about using her expertise to ensure the best results for her clients as well as their children.

Prior to joining Schiller DuCanto & Fleck, Jacqueline worked at a boutique family law firm where she handled cases involving child custody, maintenance, child support, and property division. She also has extensive experience finding creative solutions to deal with complex financial matters associated with divorce. Jacqueline has been the Managing Editor of the Illinois Divorce Digest for the past three years and developed relationships with Judges and attorneys alike in working on this publication.

Prior to beginning her legal career, Jacqueline graduated from Northwestern University in 2006 with a degree in political science. She later earned her J.D. from Loyola University’s School of Law with a Certificate in Child & Family Law.

Jacqueline is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. She is also a Lake County Child Representative and Guardian ad Litem.
