Dillon O'Toole

Dillon O’Toole is a Partner at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP and represents clients throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, and surrounding Illinois counties in divorce and family law matters.

Dillon focuses his practice on family law matters involving complex financial issues, sophisticated legal questions, and child custody and parenting disputes. He works closely with clients to understand their circumstances and priorities, developing strategies that address both the legal and personal considerations involved in a family law matter.

Recognizing that divorce and other family disputes can be both complex and emotionally demanding, Dillon places particular importance on communication and individualized attention. He believes mutual trust is fundamental to a successful attorney-client relationship and strives to be an approachable, reliable resource at every stage of a case.

Dillon combines meticulous preparation with strong, strategic advocacy, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions at every stage of the process. He has particular experience navigating complex financial issues in divorce, including matters involving business interests, sophisticated compensation structures, real estate, trusts, investments, and tax considerations. His background includes focused study in litigation, business, real estate, taxation, and family law, providing him with a strong foundation to analyze the often-interrelated financial and legal issues at the center of high-asset and financially complex divorce matters.

Dillon began his career at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck as a law clerk in 2016 before joining the firm as an attorney in 2018. His early experience included work with the Domestic Violence and Family Law Clinic at The John Marshall Law School, where he helped clients identify their goals, evaluate available options, and develop effective plans for representation.
