Penelope A. Pentzas

Penelope A. Pentzas is an Associate at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP and represents clients throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, and surrounding Illinois counties in complex family law matters. Drawing on her extensive background in finance, Penelope helps clients navigate sophisticated financial issues and develop practical, strategic solutions designed to protect their interests and position them for long-term financial stability.

Penelope focuses her practice on complex financial matters involving asset division, tax implications, child support, and spousal support. Her experience analyzing complex financial information is particularly valuable in high-net-worth matters involving significant assets, business interests, and other sophisticated financial issues.

Before becoming an associate, Penelope served as a law clerk at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Anthony C. Kyriakopoulos in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Penelope brings significant finance and budget-analysis experience to her family law practice. Before attending law school, she served as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Illinois State Board of Education, where she helped develop and manage an annual budget exceeding $20 billion, analyzed and projected agency and program funding needs, and supervised junior analysts. She also served as a James H. Dunn, Jr. Memorial Fellow in the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget, where she developed budgetary recommendations for the Governor and monitored funding requests and expenditures for Illinois higher-education agencies.

Penelope earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she also received a Certificate in Advocacy. During law school, she received a CALI Award for earning the highest grade in Legal Writing II, was named to the Dean’s List multiple semesters, competed on Loyola’s Spong Moot Court Team, served as a Senior Tutor for first-year legal writing courses, and was a Staff Editor of the Loyola Consumer Law Review.
