Gabrielle Kahn

Gabrielle Kahn is an Associate at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP and represents clients in complex family law matters throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, and surrounding Illinois counties. Gabrielle approaches each matter with an emphasis on thoughtful strategy, careful analysis, and clear communication, helping clients navigate consequential personal and financial decisions with a practical understanding of both their immediate priorities and long-term interests.

Gabrielle’s practice encompasses complex dissolution of marriage proceedings, significant marital estates, contested financial issues, and disputes involving parenting time and the allocation of parental responsibilities. Her background in business law and understanding of financial compliance and privacy issues further inform her approach to cases involving sophisticated financial circumstances, allowing her to guide clients through complicated decisions with clarity and confidence.

Gabrielle represents clients through all phases of a family law matter, from the initial development of case strategy through negotiation, mediation, motion practice, and trial. Gabrielle career with Schiller DuCanto & Fleck began during her first semester of law school, when she was accepted into the firm’s rigorous clerking program. She continued with the firm throughout law school and joined as a full-time Associate after her admission to the Illinois State Bar. That experience, coupled with her prior work at a family law practice in Columbus, Ohio, provided Gabrielle with early and extensive exposure to sophisticated family law matters and a foundation for handling cases from inception through resolution.

Gabrielle earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and graduated cum laude with a certificate in Business Law. While in law school, she served as Executive Editor of the DePaul Law Review, where her work included rigorous review and analysis of the legal authority underlying the journal’s publications. Gabrielle enjoys the challenge of applying established legal principles to novel and complex circumstances, particularly through written advocacy. Her article, “Determining Legal Custody in a Divorce Proceeding: When the Health of a Child Hinges on Their Parents’ Religion” was published in Volume 70 of the DePaul Law Review.
