Bridget Maul

Bridget Maul is General Counsel at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP, where she advises the firm’s leadership and oversees legal matters affecting the firm and its operations.

As General Counsel, Bridget advises the firm’s executive management team and works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee to ensure the firm’s policies and practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and professional obligations. She also serves as SDF’s Ethics and Professionalism Officer and oversees the firm’s legal operations, receivables, and client intake.

Bridget handles a range of internal legal matters and filings for the firm, including post-judgment enforcement proceedings and subpoenas. Her approach balances protecting the firm’s interests with identifying practical solutions that offer a realistic path to resolution.

Before becoming General Counsel, Bridget served as a Staff Attorney at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck. She previously practiced at a Chicago creditors’ rights law firm, where she litigated consumer and commercial collection matters and post-judgment proceedings for financial institutions.

Bridget also previously served as in-house counsel for a large Illinois credit union. In that role, she developed compliance policies and procedures for the organization’s legal department and managed its litigation matters. Her combination of private practice, in-house, litigation, and compliance experience provides a broad perspective in advising SDF on its legal and operational responsibilities.
