More Than a Summer Associate Program

Schiller DuCanto & Fleck’s law clerk program is an unparalleled experience for anyone considering a career in family law. Unlike summer associate programs that last only a few months and cannot give an accurate idea of the depth of a practice, the program at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck introduces law clerks to every aspect of the practice. The firm takes a multidisciplinary approach to training so that individuals hired from the clerking program can make a seamless transition into practice. This approach includes a series of substantive seminars presented by this firm’s partners on all facets of the practice area; structured shadowing of attorneys at meetings, depositions, and court appearances; and opportunities to work directly with the firm’s Chicago family law attorneys on cases.

The firm’s law clerks have access to the same in-house training programs developed for associate attorneys of the firm. Any law clerk who completes the program will emerge with a real world/real time view of the practice of family law. Law students in the program have an advantage when being considered for associate positions. The first program of its kind, the Schiller DuCanto & Fleck law clerk program was the proving ground for individuals who are now proud to be equity and income partners of the firm.
